Need tree surgery in Abergele? D Jones Tree Services carries out tree felling, pruning, hedge cutting and clearance work for homeowners, farms and holiday sites across Abergele, Pensarn and the surrounding villages.
Tree Surgery in Abergele, Pensarn and Kinmel Bay
Abergele is a market town with the Clwydian hills and Gwrych Castle above and the coast at Pensarn below. Its surroundings include the villages of Llanddulas and St George, and the flatter coastal strip towards Kinmel Bay and Towyn. That variety means we see everything from large old trees on hillside plots to hedges and shelter belts on flat, open, wind-exposed ground.
Holiday parks and caravan sites along the coast rely on hedges and trees for shelter and privacy, and these need regular cutting back to keep them healthy and safe. We can carry out planned seasonal work, or one-off reductions of overgrown boundaries. For farms and smallholdings around Abergele, we deal with hedgerows, field-edge trees and woodland thinning.

Exposed Coastal Land and Farm Boundaries
Coastal wind can be harsh on the flat land near Pensarn and Kinmel Bay. Shelter trees are often lopsided, and dead wood builds up in hedges and windbreaks. We can thin, reshape and remove trees that are in poor condition, and we can strim and clear the ground around them to leave it tidy.
Older houses on the edge of Abergele often have large trees standing close to them. If a tree is putting stress on a wall or roof, or you are worried that it might fail in the next storm, we can inspect it and give honest advice on pruning, reduction or removal, always explaining our reasoning.
Before any tree work, it is worth checking whether the tree is protected. Contact Conwy County Borough Council about Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas, and see Natural Resources Wales for guidance on felling licences.
