Local Tree Surgery in Llanrwst
Llanrwst sits on the River Conwy with Gwydir Forest rising behind it, and that mix of river-valley and woodland shapes the trees we deal with. Mature ash, sycamore, oak and beech grow along the streets, around the Pont Fawr end of town and in the gardens of the older stone houses. Many of them have been left for decades and now overhang roofs, walls, lanes and power lines.
Because we live and work in the town, we know the tight streets, the steep drives and the awkward rear gardens that make access difficult. That local knowledge lets us plan a job properly, from where the chipper will sit to how the brash comes out, so the work is finished safely and in as little time as possible. It is why so many Llanrwst customers ring us first and recommend us to neighbours.

Storm Damage and Valley Winds Around Llanrwst
The Conwy Valley funnels wind, and after a bad storm we regularly see limbs down across lanes, fences and outbuildings on the edges of Llanrwst. If a tree is on your house, blocking the road or hanging dangerously, call us straight away and we will make it safe first and deal with the clear-up second.
Leylandii and other fast-growing conifers are another common job in Llanrwst gardens. A hedge that was planted at knee height can be ten metres tall within years, blocking light and dominating the boundary. We can reduce it back to a manageable height, or remove and clear it completely if it has been left too long.
Before any tree work, it is worth checking whether the tree is protected. Contact Conwy County Borough Council about Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas, and see Natural Resources Wales for guidance on felling licences.
Tree Surgery in Llanrwst: Your Questions Answered
How quickly can you reach me for tree surgery in Llanrwst?
We are based in Llanrwst, so most local enquiries can be visited quickly. Call 07881 590096 and we will arrange a time to look at the tree. Storm damage and dangerous trees are prioritised.
Do you clear the waste after tree work in Llanrwst?
Yes. Our team removes the branches and timber and leaves the site tidy. If you would like logs kept for a wood burner, just tell us when we quote.
Can you cut back a tall Leylandii hedge in my Llanrwst garden?
We can reduce Leylandii to a sensible height, or take the whole hedge out and clear it. We will explain the best option once we have seen how it has been growing.
Do I need permission before a tree is cut down in Llanrwst?
Sometimes. Trees with a Tree Preservation Order, or in a conservation area, need consent from the council first, and larger volumes of timber may need a felling licence. We will tell you what to check before work starts.
Do you work outside Llanrwst as well?
Yes. We cover the whole Conwy Valley including Trefriw, Betws-y-Coed and Dolgarrog, and we also work on the coast at Conwy and Llandudno Junction.
